We have been in a cold snap for a while now and it's weather like this that makes one yearn for spring. Hopefully this is the last cold snap of this winter. Other than some event photography such as a business convention I just attended, I haven't been taking many photographs lately. So, for inspiration I looked over some of my former shots that I hope to expand on this year. Specifically those of the Mountain Ladyslipper shots I took at Western Acres ...if I can find more of these this year. These are a couple of my former shots of this flower.

Hi Mike, I found my way to your blog from the "Canadian Forum members..." thread at DPReview. Just wanted to chime in on your photos of the lady slipper: I too am from Prince George and I have found them in some of the oddest places around the bowl area. Probably one of the easiest places to find them is on the right hand side of Pidherny Rd, just after it turns to gravel. I've been finding them through late May to late June there the past few years and have some photos of them. I don't have any online yet, but here is one of a Fairy Slipper -> http://gallery.mac.com/thechewters#100063/IMGP2439&bgcolor=black
Cheers!
